On occasion we receive requests to remove or correct information that we have published. This document is intended to address the process by which we would consider the removal or correction of information that we publish.

How to submit a request

  • All requests to remove or correct content must be in writing and submitted via this Request Form, with the exception that:
  • If the reason for removal is based on applicable privacy law, please submit your request using the Privacy Inquiry Request Form.
  • We do not accept oral requests; please do not contact our customer service center
  • With respect to any request, we might ask you to verify your identity and provide us with information that helps us to understand your request better. You will also be asked to submit documentation supporting the request where necessary to enable a thorough assessment. With respect to requests relating to information published about an individual, requests from other people, such as attorneys or public relations firms, also must include documentation demonstrating authority or legitimate interest in the request.
  • If we do not grant your request, we will explain why.

Requests relating to court documents

If your request concerns a court or government body’s opinion, or content reflected in an opinion, please first contact the court or government agency directly. These opinions are a matter of public record, and we will only remove or correct that content to the extent that the court or government agency first does so. When you do contact us, please be prepared to provide a copy of the order placing the opinion under seal or stating that the opinion is no longer publicly available. Where opinions are modified, modified versions will be provided to us through established document feeds and should be updated online through normal publishing processes. Our customers rely on our databases to contain accurate information based on public record and we appreciate your understanding.

De-indexing and de-listing requests

De-indexing and de-listing enables the removal of URL and results by search engines. Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory US does not assist in de-indexing or de-listing articles or other information that we publish.  Please contact the applicable search engines directly.
